DTE aims at integrating the training programmes and research programmes with thrust on quality and gives shapes to the changes to be brought in the training courses. DTE's areas of action are organising teacher training programmes (both in-service & pre-service) for the TTIs & DIETs, orientation courses for teacher educators in TTI's, preparation of evaluation tools for TTC and revision of the TTC curriculum.
